Happy Pride Month

#BlackBoyJoy is a hashtag that I’ve always used to describe the essence of who I am. However, if it were not for my queerness, that joy would not be as colorful as it is today. From Marsha P. Johnson to James Baldwin to Billy Porter the Black LGBTQ+ community has always been a quintessential part of my identity and taught me what it means to have PRIDE (can I get an amen up in here)! Although Pride Month is almost over it’s never to late to tap in to some my favorite shows, musicians, and writers that highlight the experience of Black queer people.
