Since Wednesday, I’ve had multiple pep talks with myself to make it through the day. Still working, still fake smiling, and still fighting to be Black in America. The active violence against Black people is not new, as we know this country was built off of our oppression. However, the active violence against Black people should not, will not, and can not continue to be normalized. Here are some resources to do your part in the fight against injustice.

Places To Donate:

Minnesota Freedom Fund

The Minnesota Freedom Fund pays criminal bail and immigration bond for those who cannot afford to as we seek to end discriminatory, coercive, and oppressive jailing.

Black Vision Collective

BLVC is committed to a long term vision in which ALL Black lives not only matter, but are able to thrive.

Reclaim The Block

Reclaim the Block began in 2018 and organizes Minneapolis community and city council members to move money from the police department into other areas of the city’s budget that truly promote community health and safety.

Free Them All

Jails, prisons, & detention facilities are a public health crisis turned death sentence in the face of COVID19. Join us in the fight to #FreeThemAll

Black Lives Matter

#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.
