Travel: Rome

If you're a 90's baby, you know the real reason for me visiting Rome- Lizzie McGuire! I remember sitting at home watching TV and eating spaghetti O's thinking about how lucky Lizzie was to travel the world after graduation. Fast forward a couple of years later, and here I am roaming through the city of Rome (get it?).  Read more about my experience below.

Food

Out of all the cities I visited in Italy, Rome had the best food! From fresh pasta to cream filled pastries, Rome cooked it's way to my heart. I started off my mornings with a light breakfast. If you go into a restaurant before twelve you can get a fresh baked pastry and coffee for under two euros. The croissants were so good that I always ate them before I remembered to take a picture lol.  In the afternoon, treat yourself to some fresh pasta and a mimosa.  And finally for dinner, I ordered chicken (I'm pretty sure it's called something fancy but CHICKEN). I've attached a map from the colosseum to one of my favorite restaurants in Rome.

PLACES

My friends and I were in awe at how photoready Rome was at every moment. It seemed like every building had a special meaning and purpose for being constructed. I spilt my tour of Rome into three days. The first day we saw the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain- BREATHTAKING! Make sure you bring your coins to make a wish. On the second day, we went to Vatican City and let's just say it was an all day process. However, I learned so much catholicism and the beautiful artistry Michelangelo. Finally, on the last day we went to the Spanish Stairs and window shopped at all the expensive store fronts. If you want an amazing view of Rome, go to the top of the chruch steps.
