Travel: Jamaica
Sorry…. I can’t talk right now I’m out of office. I’m feeling my full bad gyal fantasy after returning from my first vacation since COVID-19 restrictions. I was apprehensive to book a vacation because it felt “too soon” but Jamacia was the perfect way to set the tone for the summer.
Now I know everybody and they MUVA are traveling to Montego Bay so let me hook you up with the details of my trip. I was enjoying my trip so much that I forgot to take a lot of pictures so I pulled some food photos from IG (these are not mine). Also, this guide was partly curated by my friend @shanellegayle. Check out my budget breakdown for price estimates. The trip could range from $800-$2500 per person depending on your budget and stay.
Food:
Scotchies (jerk chicken/pork)
Margaritaville/Pelican Grill (great drinks)
House Boat Grill Restaurant
Sharkies
Miss T’s Kitchen (steam fish)
Excursions:
Martha Brae River
Blue hole
Ricks cafe in Montego Bay
Rose hall great house tour
Hotel:
This trip was my first time doing an all-inclusive package. At first, I was nervous because usually, people associate all-inclusive with watered-down drinks and kids lol. The Excellence at Oyster Bay was a 21+ luxury resort with AMAZING food, service, and experiences. From the 24/7 room service to the hydrotherapy circuit and massage, I would highly recommend it. Alternative options: Sandals Resort, Rui, and Royalton White Sands.
Travel Tip: Keep in mind that the curfew is still 9 pm due to COVID. Your resort will of course be open later but that is something to note. Also, transportation to get around started to become very expensive, if you could find someone to drive you around for the duration of the trip that might be a better alternative.
